IDN-maildomains (qmail, vpopmail)

Hi there

I have to set up an IDN-Domain on my Gentoo-Server. I know, this basically sucks but as it is a domain for local purposes its ok.

no problem with the nameserver and apache, they just need the converted ACE String in their config files.
i installed qmail and vpopmail like in the offical howto on the gentoo.org webpage.
so if i try to add a domain with vadddomain and my IDN-Domain (bärti.ch) i got following error:
Error: Invalid domain name

and if a add the ACE-converted string(xn--brti-loa.ch) i can't send emails to the real domainname. emails to an address like postmaster@xn--brti-loa.ch work without any problems, but that's not really what i want.

if i send now an email to the real domainname i get an error back:
Sorry, I couldn't find any host named b??rti.ch. (#5.1.2)


well. seems to be a problem, that anywhere the domainname is not converted into ACE.
thanks in advance for any ideas or hints to solve this problem.
