Hi
I'm trying to run UT2003 but when it launches it gives the folowing error:
| Code: | ut2003-demo
open /dev/dsp: No such file or directory
OpenGL renderer relies on DXTC/S3TC support.
History:
Exiting due to error
|
Any Ideas?
I have Opengl interface set to nvidia, I have all the nvidia things running fine....

I think this is your problem, /dev/dsp is responsible for the sound. Don't you have a sound in linux ?

You do have a card > Geforce 2, don't you  ? |

Abou graphics I have a RIVA TNT2 32 Mb M64

I'm sorry guy... ;(
Ut2003 for linux NEEDS as graphics card at least a GEFORCE 2, so forget it!
Besides, it would be no fun with a TNT2, believe me I've got XP 2000+ and Geforce 4 and it's far from being perfect.
...
But good news... UT1 should run without problems |

lol. you really have problems playing ut2k3 with a xp2000+ and a geforce4? i can run it as smoothly as it can be, i simply choose to play it whit 1024x768. this is way enough, imho.
