Hello!
I'm trying to boot a Sun Blade 2000 with two UltraSPARC III 1.2 GHz Processors and 8GB RAM.
I get the following error messages:
{0} ok boot cdrom
Resetting ....
<--- system power cycles now --->
Rebooting with command: boot cdrom
Boot device: /pci@8,700000/scsi@6/disk@6,0:f File and args:
SILO
-- Welcome to Gentoo SPARC Linux --
-- Versin 2004.3 --
boot: gentoo-2.4
Could not find any available memory for initial ramdisk
Fatal error: You do not have enough continuous available memory for such
initial ramdisk.
Program terminated.
{0} ok
The system boots fine on hard hard disk and with Solaris boot CD. Anyone have an idea??
Thanks in advance! |

It's the silo trick i used for the 2004.3 livecd.
It'll probably boot if you take some memory out of the system (leave <4gb) for the installation.
After that you'll be using a normal silo, and shouldn't have a problem.
Please confirm after testing _________________ Gustavo Zacarias
