Hi guys, i was looking a post to see about the resolution, but i can't find one
my screen section is
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen 1"
Device "NVIDIA GeForce"
Monitor "My Monitor"
DefaultDepth 24
Subsection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1024x768" "800x600"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
my Vresolution is 60hz but i still can't have it at 1024x768!!!
Please...any idea???

I have a GeForce4 TI4200-8X and I run at 1024x768. Only thing I notice different is I use a default depth of 16. If you still have a problem when I get home from work tonight, I'll post the relevant sections from my XF86Config file for you.
Also, have you emerged the latest driver version from the portage tree?

this is incredible...i can 1024x768 but i can't start KDE!!!!!!!!!!
xset:root:unable to open display ' '

I think the problem is with X, not KDE. Not sure what, however.
