|
|
I have a job designing a website for my college's radio station and I've only been given the option to connect to the site with FrontPage for some unknown reason. I have been using my XP machine to connect to it as a Network Place to bypass having to use FrontPage.
This has really begun to annoy me. Isn't there a way that I can access this share on my main Linux machine short of trying to run FrontPage in WINE or something equally stupid? I really don't know where to begin on this. |

Frontpage uses two mainly-Windows tricks: WebDAV and SSO logons.
You can configure WebDAV with a bit of puzzling, but to manage the SSO logons basically means that you have to authenticate against a Windows server - in the normal Windows fashion.
Google a bit for this; there are several good howto's. (It's not like you're the first victim of this, believe me!) _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /
