Hi there,
is there still an XF86 4.3.0 ebuild available somewhere? I'd like to use it instead of X.org (because of many problems with ATI gatos drivers in X.org which I cannot and do not want to solve).
Thanks in advance. |

Yes it does and yes I am.
I want to use the TV out function of the Gatos CVS driver, but I couldn't get it to work with X.org... Well, I'm still trying, but I'm not very confident.
And since it will work in XF86 without any problems (at least I hope so), I have no problem with using XFree.
Edit: Okay, forget about it, it's working with X.org 6.8.99.15 |

Xorg has been the standard in the Linux/BSD world for over a year now, most development is focussed on xorg. So I doubt it would have worked on the ancient xfree 4.3 anyway.
Btw, Xorg 7.0 has been released, you might want to try it. |
