xorg-x11 patch to fix nvidia problems

There is a patch oin xorg's bugzilla to fix (xorg) BUG# 2322 - a common problem with x86_64 and nvidia pci-e graphics cards. I am really anxious to apply this patch to my system. how would i go about modifying the ebuild to apply the patch?

This is the patch w/ ebuild.

Does this patch fix the problem with the 2.6.10 kernel on x86_64 and nvidia? Doom3(native) and any game run though cedega hang the 2.6.10 kernel because of a bug in the nvidia code.
