why does Aterm render ncurses programs incorrectly? heres a screenshot, the upper terminals are of Aterm and the bottom are of Eterm.

the font im using in Aterm is identical to the one in Eterm.

from my Xdefaults

Code:
Aterm*scrollBar: false
Aterm*transpscrollbar: true
Aterm*transparent: true
Aterm*background: black
Aterm*foreground: white
Aterm*shading: 100
Aterm*fading: 55
Aterm*loginShell: true
Aterm*saveLines: 5000
Aterm*font: -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--10-100-75-75-c-60-iso10646-1

hmm using the default font makes everything look fine in ncurses. why does Aterm do this then?
