Hello,
I have been looking to buy a cheap laptop and have found a reasonable sounding one (a rebadged Asus). However its graphics chip is the integrated SIS650 which I have heard is a bit of a problem. anyone have any experience with this kind of machine (good or bad). Otherwise anyone with a recommendation for a Linux friendly laptop?
regards

Hi
I have Asus notebook and I´m planning to install Gentoo onto it. I tried before RedHat and it was working but not with sis driver but VESA one.
I have to say I was not pushing me to run sis driver.
Anyway before buing notebook you can check some linux hardware support on http://www.linux-laptop.net/
