Ok, I emerged xine and mplayer, however xine cannot find a plugin to decode dvd video and mplayer cannot actually play a DVD (i get "blocks" of video). Any clue how to get either one to work? |

the plugin should create a button on your xine gui.
if you didn't compile xine with USE="dvd" in your use flags, try recompiling with that. |

it works, just choppy. i'm going to try recompiling everything w/ the dvd use flag set. if that doesn't help i will just bring my dxr3 to school w/ me next time i go home.
