I don't believe this. When I was 15 I used windows, while not having any ambitions to change
anything about the obvious bugs and whatnot.
But I guess even now I'm not ambitious enough to do anything reasonably. :p _________________ don't buy software. |

It's certainly not 15, I only know a few developers that are less than 17 y.o. But then again, I don't know most of them.
Of those active on IRC, I'd say the average is 22. If not higher. |

I was 15 when i first started using Linux and Gentoo. And now I'm 16. I seems like I wasted so much time trying to know everything about windows. _________________ Check out my awesome blog! (The Best Blog Ever)

I feel the same way, dude. But what's there to learn in Windows? It's all so user-friendly. _________________ Don't just stand there, kill him! |

When I was 15 Linux didn't exist , most people still used DOS and we used CP/M at school . _________________ Andy. |

Hehe no wonder swearing is banned on the forums j/k
The young people using gentoo is not surprising, however what would really shock me is if someone had a signature like this:
Look at me, I'm 80 years old and I use Gentoo
LOL |

PZoned, I'm not. Understanding the system and how the operating system works is quite easy. But moving towards more difficult things like playing with MS-DOS and what not is probably hard for some people. I'm sorry. The first time i got a computer with Windows it was very easy doing stuff, installing a program with install-shield, playing with the control panel, getting drivers to work. Just put in the CD-ROM and it automounts. It's not the same way in Gentoo. You have to do it manually and configure yourself. I didn't move to Gentoo with a lot of computer knowledge from Windows. The only thing I learned from when I used Windows was from the internet. I can't see why you think Windows is hard to understand. That's what you're saying, right? _________________ Don't just stand there, kill him!

I had recently turned 16 when I started, and now I am 17 and will be 18 this November. It seems that there are a lot of people younger than me on the forums though. heh |
