|
|
Hello,
I have just upgraded to KDE 3.0.5a (unmerged 3.0.5 and reemerged the whole environment), but since then, I cannot use the netscape plugins in konqueror anymore.
I have Motif (not -motif) in my make.conf and openmotif is installed, but nonetheless the plugins are not here (obviously in Mozilla they work fine!)
HAve you any suggestion on how to solve this or shoudl I wait the arrival of KDE 3.1 final where the problem should (hopefully) disappear?
Thanks for the help,
Adalberto |

not a bloody clue as to why, but I had that problem for a while...and now, poof, problem is gone...
so I suggest doing a emerge --deep -u world, since I do that almost daily, and see if it fixes your problem.[/quote] |

This problem was mentioned in another thread in this forum. Several people have been experiencing these problems, but I haven't seen a solution so far. Updating with 'emerge -u --deep world' doesn't help for me either. AFAIK the problem was introduced in KDE 3.0.5a. So, downgrading to a previous version could solve the problem, but will introduce some security bugs that are solved in v3.0.5a. Does anybody know whether these security fixes have something to do with konqueror plugins?
