Gentoo LiveCD has been going around for quite sometime now, but I haven't really wanted to download it. What is it exactly? What is the difference between LiveCD and the ~50 Mb iso (compile everything from beginning iso) that I used to install gentoo?

The Live CD is an iso, it includes things like the kernel, lynx, and all the tools you need to install. If you have installed gentoo by using an iso and then booting from it then you've used the Live CD.
