Well I was exited about UT2003, 'cause it's finally on linux So I wanted to test game before I buy it (to support linux gamers community), but it showed poor performance in my workstation computer. My specs are not that bad...(look down). I am running latest nvidia drivers and 2.4.19 kernel. In windows I got *MUCH* better performance, so is it poorly ported to linux or is it my fault?
UT2003 demo is binary pack so not much tweaking can be done And there isn't much to conf either...The strange thing is that my picture is choppy and sound doesn't follow with picture...comes late
Anyone with same problem or maybe with a ready solution? _________________ [ My sites ]: UnixTutorials : AniFIND : AnimeYume |

are you actually using the nvidia drivers ?
run "glxinfo" and look for the string "server glx vendor string", it should be "NVIDIA Corporation". If it is not then run "opengl-update nvidia" as root. Also you should have in your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 in the Device section. |
