Welcome!
I've merged sci-misc/comedi-0.7.68 and sci-libs/comedilib-0.7.21 and excepted that the module comedi.o would be compiled. Unfortunately I can't find the file comedi*.o or comedi*.ko. What should I do in order to get this module? _________________ Cuma |

I do not know about comedi, but look at the list of files installed with those packages, i.e.
| Code: | qpkg -l sci-misc/comed
qpkg -l sci-libs/comedilib |

| I'm trying to figure out the answer to this as well. Does anyone out there with gentoo/comedi experience want to lend a hand? Otherwise, I'll post when I figure it out. So far, lots of googling with no luck... |

I had to give up using the ebuild and install by hand. Then no problem, all is working fine.
It seems to me that this behavior is related to 2.6 kernel stuff, you should install >68 version of comedi. _________________ Moving closer for a better view

| I had the same problems tyring to emerge comedi. The compilation would fail. After looking at the archives from the comedi mailing list, I found a post about the same probelm with Suse 10.0. It looks like the solution is to check out the latest version from the Comedi CVS. Works fine now! |

I don't want to install it manually, 'cause I like to possibilies of portage merge and update.
So, can make an ebuild and submit this to portage tree or how is this going? I've never made my own ebuild before, so I don't know how to start. |
