Hi,

I recently upgraded my autofs from version 3 to 4 as portage defined it stable. However, I experience on all of my servers and workstations that mounts does not get unmounted anymore, or after a very very long while. This is not really what I want, since this situation is more or less the same as a static mount to various servers.

I 'downgraded' by installing autofs 4.1.3 instead of the latest (4.1.3-r2) and noticed that that version does unmount as expected. I checked the timeout setting, but it is set to 60 seconds which sounds reasonable. Is there a different setting for 4.1.3-r2 to make it autounmount like older versions do? I can't find any related issues and the manpages don't bring me much further too. Version 4.1.3-r1 doesn't unmount for me as well.

A vimdiff of the two ebuild scripts basically tells that there are some patches applied on 4.1.3-r1, where can I find information on what these patches do? It seems to me they break things as 4.1.3 (without the patches) works fine.

Thanks in advance
