|
|
As I remebered, you could configure netscape-plugins via the Konqueror Configure dialog:
Settings->Configure Konqueror...
[img:ec7f292177]http://members.home.nl/basvandijk/configure_konqueror.gif[/img:ec7f292177]
But as you see there is NO netscape-plugins tab anymore...
Does somebody know how I can install for example the netscape-flash plugin?
INFO:
Konqueror version 3.0.5a
KDE version 3.0.5a |

I use KDE 3.0.5a too and still have the icon for configuring Netscape Plugins. Maybe some specific USE variable setting disabled this feature for you? |

Update:
When I click on the Netscape plugin viewer icon I get the following error message:
"There was an error loading module 'nsplugin.desktop'"
It seems that this 'nsplugin.desktop' file is no longer installed. I upgraded from a previous version of KDE to KDE 3.0.5a recently. I guess the icon is still there because the 'nsplugin.desktop' file got installed with a prior version.
Any help appreciated on how to fix this.

AFAIK you need motif/openmotif to configure netscape-plugins in Konqueror... |

On my system the netscape icon can also be created by running "nspluginscan" on a console prompt. But it's of no use because it gives me the sam error message about an unloadable "nsplugin.desktop"

due to this forum and www.kde.org "lesstiff" or "openmotif" is needed. I emerged both and re-emerged kdelibs and kdebase. But I couldn't get plugins working with konqueror. |

I once had the same problem. I had USE="-motif" and it was the problem. Remove -motif and recompile kdebase (and network ?). |
