Hello Guy's.
I'm looking for a good Jabber client and I wanted to know what client is your favorite.
In my opinion Psi is very good. But it uses Qt and I don't like this libary :/

I tried many clients, but I prefer Gaim. |

Psi is good if you want to use Jabber Transports.
I had some problems with Gaim and Jabber2 that I use, but I havn't used Gaim in a little while. _________________ Scott Carr * OpenOffice.org * Documentation Maintainer

You'll probably get as many opinions in this thread as there are Jabber clients. Since you do not like Qt (nor do I), I'll recomment Gossip as a GTK+ Jabber client.
It's quite nice.

Gaim is nice, though I use kopete after my friend talked me into using kde (big change from ratpoison ... me miss' it) but I'm starting to be able to work well with kde.. but yea I agree with you about the big library and I wish that people wouldn't make some many apps that rely on it.. just go with gaim, it really is popular for a reason. _________________ The God idea is growing more impersonal and nebulous in proportion as the human mind is learning to understand natural phenomena and in the degree that science progressively correlates human and social events. -- Emma Goldman |

Like many have said, I do like Gaim, but I also like to use some of the Jabber transports.
What I did was get ahold of a Windows computer, install Psi, setup my transports, and then login on my computer with Gaim. All of the transports are saved and you can use them from Gaim, just not configure them.
Now if only there was an easy way to import and convert my AIM buddy list to Jabber contacts through the AIM transport. |

This has got to be a dup. A dup of a dup of a dup.
