I've been having problems trying to install kde packages, as soon as I try I get an error stating that the required perl (5.6.1-r10 I think) can't be found for extutils-makemaker, I looked in the mask file and its commented out with a message saying its extremely borked.
This is a completely fresh install, I've even unmerged perl and remerged it
There seems to be a lot of problems with makemaker and perl with gentoo atm, but none of the posts 've looked at seem to help. _________________ Some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them. |

I've junked the partition and set it up as ntfs for a win2k install , I've got a new HD coming soon, will get gentoo on that, hoping the problem was specific to my install. _________________ Some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them. |
