|
I did an emerge -p pysol and it lists these packages as needing installation:
media-libs/lcms-1.09
media-libs/libmng-1.0.4
x11-libs/qt-3.1.0-r1
kde-base/kde-env-3-r2
kde-base/arts-1.0.4-r1
media-libs/svgalib-1.4.3-r3
media-libs/libsdl-1.2.4.20020601
media-libs/smpeg-0.4.4-r4
app-games/pysol-sound-server-3.00
dev-lang/tcl-8.3.4
dev-lang/tk-8.3.4
app-games/pysol-4.81-r1
The PySOL application itself is written in Python and Tkinter. I can understand the media libs to support the sound server, but the qt & kde stuff baffles me. It appears to be unnecessary bloat. I even have USE="-kde" defined in my make.conf file because I don't use kde for anything else.
Can anyone explain this to me and/or tell me how to emerge pysol without having to emerge qt & kde? |
