I just emerged mozilla-thunderbird-1.0. It compiled fine but when I run it I can't access my IMAP email nor my newsgroups. It shows my folders but when I click on one it does nothing and there is no email to be seen.
After that I emerged mozilla-thunderbird-bin-0.9 and it works fine.
Any ideas?

SOLVED!
Running the 0.9 binary seemed to fix something which allowed my compiled 1.0 to work. I was upgrading from 0.7, so maybe that had something to do with it. |

I tried both the masked emerge and the Mozilla distribution and both failed. The program started but then it would hang using all the CPU and nothing would ever happen. Don't understand why but that seems to be the state of affairs at this time.
I would like to move up to 1.0 but even .9 has the same problem.
Any clues? |

It appears that I had a bad inbox. When I created a new profile and copied files in the program hung when I got to inbox. Going back and moving all the inbox messages to another folder and copying that one over worked. So I was able to get 1.0 to work. Don't know why it failed to open the .8 inbox. |
