|
|
I've just upgraded my system to udev and now i can't get xorg to start. I've followed the gentoo udev-guide and changed my mouse over to /dev/input/mice but the xorg log is showing that the core pointer isn't loading.
i have checked that the device node exists which it does and using the cat /dev/input/mice on the command line shows the mouse is working, i've tried reinstalling xorg and setting up a new xorg.conf file but it says it can't detect the mouse.
Can some please help an noob as this is driving me nuts! |

Try /dev/input/mouse0 or /dev/input/mice0

Tried your suggestion and had the same result, i've also tried using a different mouse but again no joy. Looks like i''ll have to switch back to devfs for the time being. |

Yes the error is sometimes SO small and dumb but you can't see 'em.
I'm glad you've done it now!
