Here is my problem:
1. installed the latest nvidia drivers (4191) for the tarball (ebuilds still not work for me, different checksum)
2. the 2d driver was crap so I uninstalled 4191 by throwing away all the files installed by the tarball (and unloaded the driver)
3 emerged 3123 again, everything worked fine
But everytime I boot into gentoo and X I get this message when running opengl apps (and a lot of other apps)
Quote: |
relocation error: /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1: undefined symbol: glMapControlPointsNV

So I checked everything again and followed the directions in this post:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=5853&highlight=libglcore
This did not solve the problem
I already figured out it had probably something to do with mesa
and I found out that "env-update" broke glx, running "opengl-update nvidia" fixed this, but when I look in /etc/env.d/09opengl it does point to the right location (/usr/lib/opengl/nvidia/lib)
Still, if I reboot or run env-update manually I still get this error, anyone an idea what's causing this? |
