Greetings, all.
I have been a Gentoo user for at least a couple of years now, having gone down the usual path from a certain rampant proprietary OS via the likes of Mandrake, Red Hat and so on. I discovered Gentoo and have loved it ever since.
However, I have recently gotten myself into Sun's hardware and thus acquired an Ultra 5 and an Ultra 10. (The U5 (bought nearly a year ago!!!) has a poorly IDE, so I'm going to be getting a SCSI card for it.)
I have installed Gentoo on the U10, which went flawlessly. All the apps I want have installed well, so far, and migration from my PC to my U10 is going very well indeed.
There is a slight problem. When I switch on the numlock, the desktop menus no lnoger function and entering any text into Firefox is no longer possible. On switching off the num lock, everything returns to normal and I can continue my work.
I have found nothing about this exact problem on this board, but I have sorted out things like the keymap via information here. Does anyone know if this problem is currently a known bug, or if it's something wrong in my xorg.conf?
Here are the relevant bits:

Many thanks in advance for help that may be offered![/code]
edit: It's worth noting that I refer, in my xorg.conf, to both type 5 and type 6 keyboards. This was suggested somewhere in the forums and seems neccesary to make a type 6 keyboard work. Not doing so gives the seemlingly frequent problem of letters in the wrong place! _________________ ----
