Hey, what's up with wine for sparc?
Quote: | !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "=app-emulation/wine-20041201" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- app-emulation/wine-20041201 (masked by: -* keyword)
|
Why is there no installation candidate? (I guess that's what the message means) |

Win runs Win32 apps on Linux/x86 (and only Linux/x86 as far as I know). Perhaps you can run qemu in user-mode emulation to run a Linux/x86-compiled Wine on your Linux/Sparc machine? (Note: QEmu's site says that qemu sparc support is still in the testing stage so it may not work correctly.) _________________ ~~ Peter: Programmer, Mathematician, STEM & Free Software Advocate, Enlightened Agent, Transhumanist, Fedora contributor
