I have 384 Kbit/sec symmetric DSL. (Due to things like interference of my wireless card though, the speed is generally around 38-41 KByte/sec.)

We've got 2Mb/256k although its more 512K/256K after the 10th of every month because we've used our bandwith alocation by then and Tiscali bump us to the bottem of the pile for service.

Tiscali blow.

I had a 6Mbit cable connection, but didn't feel like I needed it enough to pay $50 a month. Switched to a dry loop DSL for $20 a month, for 768Kbps. It's definitely slower, but I only notice it when I'm trying to download a few files at once.

An array of dialup modems that's combined into a gigabit line.
(My phone bill is insane.)

The state of Australian broadband is terrible. I'm currently paying $60 AUD/month for 1500/256 and a 25GB download cap. Terrible. However, with the introduction of ADSL2+, we'll be moving to 24000/1000 with a 30GB cap for a similar price. That said, because I live 3.5k from the exchange, I'll probably only attain half of those speeds.

Lol!

I used my 3G phone as a modem whilst my ADSL was being installed. Near DSL speeds on 3 mobile! Costly though :(

2.2MBit here. Keep getting capped too. You're not a lone, Scottish Tiscali using friend...

If you're really rich you can get 1.5MB/s - I've just upgraded to 256k myself.

WiFi: 1Mbit/1Mbit for 42€/month plus 12€/month for public IP, no data limits.
DSL sucks here because of monopolistic Telefonica (insane prices for slow connection, FUP and big aggregation).

I'm on 100/100 Mbit for which I pay 49kr (~6€) per month, but that's going to be raised the next month to a shocking 99kr (~12€) per month.

Sad thing is, my router (UltraSparc 5) only has a throughput of ~40Mbit/s :(

This thread should be restarted because it was started speeds above 2Mb/s were very unusual except for on institutional lease lines.

I have .5mbps/1.5mbps up/down ADSL in north Alabama; it is $50/month. My university has OC48; it is $0/5 years because they develop a lot of stuff using it.
