Scheda madre ASUS a7n8x-x con chip Realtek integrato, audio 6 canali. Con alsa uso il modulo Intel8x10. Volevo attivare il sistema 5.1 che per ora proprio non si sente!
Ho tentato con amixer e diversi "amixer sset ...". Questo è l'outpu di amixer adesso:

Usa alsamixer che e' molto piu' comodo e alza i volumi relativi a surround.
Insomma... fai un po' di prove e dovrebbe andare!

con alsamixer riesco a regolare i volumi ma NON attivare gli switch...
con gamix e kmix riesco a fare tutto ma anche settando i vari switch non cambia niente....
Ho fatto circa... un BORDELLO di prove! con cosa mi consigliate di testare se tutto funziona? Xmms và bene?

Dovresti provare ad usare un DVD con mplayer..
Con xmms se prova a sentire i tuoi mp3 ogg o altro sicurmante sono file con audio stereo quindi:
carica un dvd avvia mplayer con questo comando:

controlla tramite kmix o alsamixer chi siano attivi i canali surround central LFE

con mplayer ho solo problemi... (non trova alsa1 ...)
Ho installato Xine e provato con un dvd e in effetti FUNZIONA!
Adesso, qualcuno sa se è possibile "simulare" un audio 5.1 anche con semplici file stereo? Su winzozz con iTunes ascoltavo mp3 con il sub che pompava a manetta...non è possibile fare qualcosa di simile?
