| so i emerged openquicktime. fine great. now how do i play movies using it. i cant even play the demos on the openquicktime. when i opt to open them, kaboodle starts up and pretends to be playing but nothing happens. any ideas? |

I would go for mplayer instead, it supports quicktime from version 0.90_rc1
That is if you're running the unstable version of gentoo, I think that 0.90_pre10 is the latest version otherwise |

i'm not a big fan of mplayer. too cryptic. i really just want to be able to watch quicktime movies without crossover. i just think the performance sucks with crossover.
how can i get the quicktime movies that are embedded in the web pages (like the switcher ads) to play in konq? |
