Hello,
When installing Gentoo 2004.3. the machine hangs on mount /dev/hdc1 /mnt/gentoo. What could be the problem?
Thanks & regards |

Hangs meaning what? It just says it's mounting with nothing else, or do you get some other feedback?
My guess would be that it's some type of filesystem/chipset driver missing from your kernel config, but it's only a guess. _________________ http://dkap.info |

Hangs in moment when I press enter after 'mount /dev/hdc1 /mnt/gentoo'.

What machine model?
Did you try booting with ide=nodma? (this usually helps broken machines like u5, blade 100 or blade 150 models). _________________ Gustavo Zacarias
