|
|
Ok I'm confused. It's also late and hopefully this is a stupid easy issue.
I went to emerge pypgsql. It reports that it's masked
Code: |
bash-2.05b# emerge pypgsql
--- Invalid atom in /etc/portage/package.keywords: dev-python/pypgsql-2.4
Calculating dependencies
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "pypgsql" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- dev-python/pypgsql-2.4 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword)
- dev-python/pypgsql-2.3 (masked by: missing keyword)
For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
section 2.2 "Software Availability" in the Gentoo Handbook.

Fine not a problem. I run
Code: |
nano -w /etc/portage/package.keywords
|
and add it, the entry is now
Code: |
ev-util/kdevelop ~amd64
app-office/kmymoney2 ~amd64
dev-cpp/libxmlpp ~amd64
app-office/kbudget ~amd64
app-misc/cbview ~amd64
dev-python/pypgsql-2.4 ~amd64
|
I then run emerge again and get the same error message. Now that I think about it the entry for cbview didn't fix anything either.
So who wants to tell me what simple thing I forgot to do?[/code] |

strange
Code: |
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" emerge pypgsql
|
works I'm assuming I'm just using package.keywords incorrectly somehow.
BTW cbview is still broken, it's a missing keyword mask. No big |

I think the problem is the package version:
the entry should eihter be
Code: | =dev-python/pypgsql-2.4 ~amd64 |
or
Code: | dev-python/pypgsql ~amd64 |
At least, thats worth a try. _________________ nature is a heterosexual fiction |
