I can no longer print in Gnome. Any thoughts as to why? It used to work and I don't know what changed.
I'm running Gnome 2.8. I emerged the latest gnome-libs and gnome-cups-manager - same thing. What happens is the data starts to be sent to the printer, but the printer just stalls before anything is printed. It's a Laserjet 6L. The light on the printer will start to blink (indicating data coming in), but then the light fades (which is unusual - I've never seen that before).
Printing works from command prompt (e.g. ls > /dev/lp0 and then sending a ^L). |

maybe you recently updated your system and you might have substituted some important printer-related configuration file. in this case i suggest you to re-follow the printing guide. |
