I recently install apache on my p366 and I'm running into some problem to access it from the outside.
This is my setup :
Barricade
workstation and server
The server ip is 192.168.123.181
so if I do http://192.168.123.181 I see the apache test page.
Now I set my barricade to forward WEB (80) to 192.168.123.181.
If I try http://my.public.ip.adress its timeout ...
I use dyndns to keep track of my new ip but for troubleshooting I just use the adress i get from my barricade for test purpose ....
Is there somthing I am doing wrong ??? I cant think of anything else ... maybe in the config part of apache .. |

I know on some routers you cannot access your own external ip from inside the network. You may need another machine, say a laptop using dial-up, that is outside your LAN to connect. You could call up a friend and have them try to connect directly to your external IP to test with.

Yeah I thought the SMC Barricade was the same one that a buddy of mine has, really kind of a drag--maybe there is some vulnerability to allowing inside traffic back in???
