Hi!
I tried to install UT2003 but the installation holds because of an error with glibc. I've got glibc 2.2.5-r7 installed and ut2003 needs version 2.1 i think. Is there a solution for that problem. I searched in the ut2003 forum and googled but can't find an answer.
ciao,

I installed ut2003 with glibc 2.2.5 and it worked fine (there are many bugs in the installer though)
Now that I switched to glibc 2.3 it still works fine.
So I don't think your problem is related to having a glibc newer than 2.1 |

Did you switch the default install directory? I was unable to install UT2003 if I had switched the default install directories and if I remember correctly the error was with glibc. Tried again and left the install paths set to defaults and it worked fine. |

Hi!
I didn't change the install-directory and i tried it as user and as root and get the following error:
Code: |
cp: reading `Animations/HumanMaleA.ukx.uz2': Input/output error
failed to uncompress file.
./setup.sh: line 52: 2432 Aborted "$setup" "$@"
The setup program seems to have failed on x86/glibc-2.1
Fatal error, no tech support email configured in this setup
The program returned an error code (1)
b-28 root #

Not sure if you realize this but ut2003 requires 3gigs of space to be available on the partition you are installing it. If you do not have enough space that error will result. Not sure what else would cause that error so if you do have enough space then I have no idea what the problem is. |
