It's an interesting kick/topic though. Even though it's been 5 years since the original post.. Both Debian and Gentoo are still going strong. The only difference between then and now is that the hype now seems to be Debian unstable (=Ubuntu). Opensource will probably always be an ever-changing landscape. |

Ubuntu sucks. It's just popular because it is easy to install and to handle. Btw., my mother uses ubuntu. |
