Controlling mp3 streams with xmms

Does anyone know of a way to control an outgoing mp3 stream with xmms? I tried the live-xmms plugin at xmms.org, but it just causes xmms to crash.

oddcast just doesnt work for me
i had a shoutcast server up, and whenever i tried to stream thru it using the oddcast plugin, itd say '0kbps' and people would get only static-ish noises when connecting...
and im sure its not a prob with my shoutcast server, as my friend is able to stream thru it...any ideas?

I tried that program, and I got it to stream something. However, other people only heard silence. Hmph.
