Error emegering freetype 2.*.*

I'm install a new PC (athlon-xp 1800+ 265ram)
When I want to install a X depending applikation like kde/icewm/xmms... I get an error installing freetype 2.*.*, have tryed to install all version of freetype in portage, then 1.3.* version works fine! And when installing an older version of X 4.2.0 no problem! But then when I try to install the X depending applikation KDE/IceWm/xmms portage will upgrade X too version 4.2.1 (the one that depend on freetype 2.*.*) and the emerg fails building freetype!


the freetype emerge error msg:

Otherwise, simply type `make' again to build the library.
