i have a built-in sound card which works using the als driver intel-8x0
and when i play Quake i dont get any sound at all and i can't find out from where i can edit the config or change the sound driver used by the game
can anyone help plz |

also the same problem here
and i tried step 2 & 3
and the sound works fine in the menu of the game but as soon as i start to play it hangs and the sound keep repeating itself and i had to kill Xfree
any new tip here plz ?
and ow can i remove what he step 2 & 3 have done, i need to play the game again evn if witout sound |

i have what echo added to teh files in step 2&3 as mentioned on linuxquestions.org
and i assured that the user can access /dev/dsp
but still the game hangs on the start of any stage or fight |
