A peice of sofware i downloaded that interacts with a particular usb cable said i needed to install libusb. I emerged it and now it still doesnt recognise the cable is connected. Do I have to do anythig special with libusb to scan/detect usb devices?? _________________ My Tech Blog: http://eben.fallenreactor.com

I have usb enabled in my kernel, installed libusb and hotplug, and I made sure to start hotplug, but the software reports:
Code: | npsh: USB initialization failed |
Specifically the cable is a pl-2301 usb-to-usb cable. Im using it to connect to a playstation 2 console with npsh and naplink. _________________ My Tech Blog: http://eben.fallenreactor.com
