What is the best way to tunnel all my HTTP traffic over a ssh connection.

Here is the problem, Currently I have to go through a proxy to get HTTP access to the outside world, and that proxy is slow. I do have unrestricted HTTP access so i want to tunnell all my HTTP traffic over SSH to a remote host that is sitting on a very fact internet connection. How would i accomplish this ?

So you can SSH to your machine?

- Set up a proxy on the machine that you ssh to.

- SSH to your machine and port forward the proxy

- Add the proxy into your browsers configuration

- surf the www

Use the built in proxy in ssh. Look for -D in the man page.

but first make sure it really is the proxy that is slowing down the internet connection and it's not the internet connection itself that is slow ;)
