Hi all,
i have problems installing Gentoo on an Alpha ES40. I think that the problem is disks on SmartRAID controller (I2O) and installation disks don't have support for i2o. Hardware is ok because there's an HPUX thats work perfectly.

Anyone can help me ?

Thanks, O-Zone

according to your dmesg output you do not get devices for your storage, right?
check the driver compatibility of your controller in the kernel docs.

Yes, right. I cannot install because i don't get the disks ! I think the problem is with that I2O controller but i need the kernel module to check.

Thanks for reply, O-Zone
