Hi,
I installed kdevelop, and in the setup, it says can not find htsearch.
I tried emerge htsearch, but there is no ebuild.
Should I get it from somewhere else?

Well, I updated mt htdig package, but it still says htsearch is not present.
Maybe it's not in the path?
When I try to type htsearch in bash, it can not find it. But it can find htdig, ...
I think the htsearch in htdig is a cgi. MAybe kdevelop looks for a binary. I don't know, i'm lost with this stuff... |

Actually, htsearch is a cgi script that is accessed via an html form:
http://www.htdig.org/htsearch.htm
1) Configure htdig: http://www.htdig.org/config.html
2) Initialize databases: http://www.htdig.org/running.htm
This assumes you have a Web server running
[edit] Accordint to the htdig Web site, there is a binary:
The only 'binary' i found is /home/htdocs/cgi-bin/htsearch[/edit]
Let me know if you get this working! |

Moved from Installing Gentoo.

If you've finished the install guide, look somewhere else. But if you're still working your way through it, or just need some info before you start your install, this is the place. |
