Arg. I'm new to linux and kinda shot myself in the foot while following the installation instructions on gentoo.org documentation. I was just about to set the localtime when I got curious and decided to
Code: | # cat /usr/share/timezoneinfo/GB |
which promptly buggered up the console text, resulting in letters replaced by weird symbols.
I don't want to start again, so if anyone could help me get the text back to normal, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

Try typing 'reset' without the quotes and see if that fixes it. |
