|
|
How do i open an app in a new termianl (ex in /dev/tty2 from tty1)? I can do lynx >> /dev/tty2, but it still takes input on tty1 and a user must be logged in to tty2 before it will not give premission denied errors. How can i make it open on tty2 and recieve keyboard input on that terminal even if the terminal hasn't been logged in to?
Also is there a way to split a terminal so i can have one app open in one half and another open in the other (horiz or vertical will work) _________________ Aim:gsfgf0 |

ok, so I'm probably not gonna answer your whole question, but take a look at your
Code: | /etc/runlevels/boot/bootmisc | file. At the very bottom, it assigns:
Code: | chown root:tty /dev/tty[p-za-e][0-9a-f] &>/dev/null |
So, in order to do anything, I think you'll need to set that up for your user to have access.
That's just a guess, though. |
