I know a PowerBook G3 (I think a Pismo) is old, very old, but I need to get it working. I searched this forum and found a similar problem but that solution did not solve my problem.
I can startx, but then I get a weird horizontal bar on my screen and some vertical white bars. Those white bars are the terminal of the standard windowmanager.
My xorg.conf is about the same as https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=235021&highlight=vbios
but I have a ATI Rage mobility M3 AGP 2x so I use the ati driver.
Also when I try to use Xorg -configure I get this error:
(EE) Failed to load module "fbdev"
Can someone help me? |
