Quake3/PB problems

ok, for some *ODD* reason lately whenever i start q3 its changes my PB Client to "0". and everytime i have to go back into my q3config and change it back to cl_punkbuster "1",but that still doesnt seem to fix anything. Its like q3 doesnt want me to play or somthin, and because of this i cant join any games because whenever i start q3 up it says u have to have PB enabled. why is q3 changing PB automatically to " 0 " what gives??? anyone have any similar experiances or ideas?

this is caused by a linux pb bug, simply delete all pb* files in ~/.q3a/pb and all files in ~/.q3a/pb/dll and reconnect to a pb server, then type /pb_cl_enable in the console when you get the' pb needs to be enabled' msg
