kde-3.3 & xorg & pixel trail [closed]

i made a stage4 on my laptop (Pentium 4 Mobile) to use it on a P4 desktop. all is working well except i get white pixel trays when moving icons or klicking on the empty desktop. after a "refresh desktop" it's all gone. i used xorg-6.8.0 and realizied that opengl doesn't work with the new ati-drivers, so i downgraded to xorg-6.7.0-r2 - still the same behaviour. any ideas?

Are you by chance using KDE 3.3.0 with the Plastik theme? If so it's a known bug with that particular theme. I get the same thing happening on my screen only when I use Plastik, everything else works fine.

GREAT! thanks a lot. i knew it wasn't like this from the beginning. that's why i was so lost. i'm using kde-3.3.0 and the plastik theme. topic closed
