why can't i emerge sodipodi !

emerge: all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=gnome-extra/gal-0.13-r1" (from ebuild / media-gfx/sodipodi-0.24.1-r4 merge) have been masked.

I can't find gal-0.13-r1 in the package.mask file |
