|
|
I have an issue with an E250 that I hope somebody has seen before.
I have installed 2004.2 on my 2x400 1GB E250. When I was booted off of my LiveCD, I had <Crtl><Alt><F1> - <F6> capability to switch between virtual terminals. Now that I am booted off of my freshly built kernel (2.6.Cool, I don't have a login at the console, nor do I have any vt's. Did I miss something in my kernel configuration or do I not have a service running? The last message on my console from the boot process is
* Starting Local [ok]
with no login.
I can login via ssh just fine.
Thanks in advance. |

Update:
After comparing it to my Intel boxes, I noticed that the [rc] process is hanging out there. Shouldn't this exit once "*Starting local [ok]" is finished. I am going to put something in the /etc/init.d/local script to see if it puts anything out.
I will keep myself posted! |

SparcMonkey, did you ever figure out why you couldn't get a virtual terminal under the 2.6 kernel? |
