Is there any way to install KDE without having all the other usless crap like the kde games installed with it?
I only want base and libs, nothing more, but all the other packages seem to be a dep of kde-libs |

I did emerge kdebase and just received qt, kdelibs, kdebase. Thought I have -qt -kde in my make.conf. _________________ =recluse= |

if you install kde packages yourself (instead of the generic 'kde' ebuild) you have a lot more control over what gets installed. if you need more control than that (like you dont want to install a particular app) then search the forums, cuz i remember seeing a couple of discussions about doing that. |
