Hi all,
I have hotplug enabled but it is not able to load the driver for my nVidia ethernet controller which needs forcedeth. Is this a normal situation?

Isn't this an onboard NIC? Why do you need hotplugging for this? |

To load the correct module, or else I need to had forcedeth to /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6. _________________ Paulo Matos |

So I really don't understand the problem!
Hotplugging is for devices plugged in at runtime like an USB-Headset or something like this.
If you want the kernel to load the module when the NIC is used /etc/modules.[d|conf] (kernel 2.4) or /etc/modprobe.[d|conf] (kernel 2.6) should IMHO be the right place! |
